Maths
Ruma Rua is working so hard in maths.
This is the guess the number game. Selena is thinking of a number between 0-50. We have to guess number ranges. Example - is it between 10 and 15?
Look at us - we are learning how to add to numbers together by counting on from the largest number.
Example: 8+3= First we lock 8 into our head then we count 3 more on. 8 - 9, 10, 11,12. The answer is 12!

Welcome back to Term Rua...
Kia ora,
The room 2 children have settled back well into term 2. It is pleasing to see some of the children have been practising their learning over the break! Keep it up - 'Practise makes perfect!'
This term we have begun a new type of learning. Every Friday we do 'Friday Maths'. This means we will do problem solving activities. We will work in little groups to try and solve a tricky maths problem. Check out this weeks maths.
The problem:
Jason makes a train from a green rod, black rod and yellow rod. Kim makes a train from a green rod, black rod and blue rod. Which train is the longest?

Good work Simran and Emily!
I like how you are comparing the size of your trains Adesh and Vinish!
Great team work Ethan and Hannah!
You have created your own train - well done Mark and Amariah.
Which train is the longest? Well done Phoebe, Arushi and Azhar.
