Duffy books in schools

We are lucky enough to be supported by the Duffy books in schools programme. Soon all children in Room 2 will be given free books to take home. Here are Harjaap and Melenoa with their books.

Bubbles

We have been reading a book about bubbles this week, so we thought we would try blowing bubbles ourselves.

Casey the Caterpillar

In Room 2 we are using the "Casey the Caterpillar" programme for handwriting. We learn a set of shapes, such as "tall stick" or "short stick" or "tunnel" and then use these shapes to form the letters. This helps the children to develop the correct letter formation. Learning the letters and letter sounds

This is an excellent video to learn the letter names and the sounds. We sing it every day!
