Vote for a new flag

In Room 2 we looked at the 5 flag options and voted on our favourite flag. We collected the results and created a graph which shows the data.

We then took a second vote comparing our most popular option against the old NZ flag and we graphed the results. Guess which flag won? The new one!

What are the differences between the shapes?

4 March 2016

We have been investigating shapes. In groups we had to make shapes using pieces of elastic. We discovered it was very difficult to make a circle – we needed the hands of the whole class to help make the many points of the circle.

We then played a game where we had to guess the shape in the feely bag before we took it out to look at it. We had to feel the edges and consider the number of sides and corners.
